Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, an enclave of the City of San Antonio on the city's west side, is the only site for enlisted Basic Military Training for the Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard, which is why it is called the "Gateway to the Air Force." The most affordable of the three in the latest data, with a median sale price of $289,915 in September 2026. Homes took a median of 90 days to sell, 11 days longer than a year earlier, so buyers have time to compare and negotiate. Parts of the ZIP are served by Northside ISD, Southwest ISD and Medina Valley ISD, so confirm the district for each address.
